• WATERCOLOR PAINT - Transparent pigments: Daniel Smith or Winsor-Newton

  • Cobalt Blue

  • French Ultramarine Blue

  • New Gamboge

  • Prussian Blue

  • Quinacridone Burnt Orange

  • Quinacridone Violet

  • Quinacridone Gold

  • Yellow Ochre

• WATERCOLOR BRUSHES (minimum)

  • Rounds: Cheap Joe’s Golden Fleece

  • Flats: Winsor-Newton Series 995

    • 3/4” flat #10 or 12 round

    • 1” flat #6 or 8 round

    • #2 rigger 1-1/2” Hake or inexpensive wash brush

• PAPER, PALETTE, BACKING BOARD

  • Paper: 3-4 sheets Arches 140# cold press

  • Palette: Pike or other palette w/lid that has large mixing area

  • Backing Board: I prefer to stretch my paper, I use Gator-board (Cheap Joe’s) which accepts staples

• Additional Supplies

  • 2 wide mouth water containers (such as small Cool Whip tubs)

  • Stapler (if your board accepts staples) or 4 clips

  • Clean hand towel (used to remove excess water from paper)

  • Large stack paper napkins (or paper towels)

  • Hair dryer (optional)
