This is a workshop in creativity and exploration...my goal is that
you will come away from this class with lots of exciting techniques

Regarding the supplies, my work is based
on canvas that is textured with the Nova gel mediums then gold/copper &
silver leafed, the collage papers are mounted to the leafed surface and
then the painting begins. So you will for sure need the gel mediums,
leafs, collage papers and paints. If you only have tube acrylics and not
the Golden fluids you will need to get some Golden Acrylic Glazing
Liquid to be able to thin down the tube acrylics enough to put a glaze
over the leafing and collage papers. I have listed places where you can
buy papers or make your own, also listed are the phone numbers and web
sites for the leaf and gel’s. I use a heavy duty glue gun with a larger opening and lots of glue sticks so you will want to have access to one. If you want to share with someone that is fine and glue sticks are usually pretty accessible at hardware or craft stores. My work is all about texture and color so be thinking of things that you can make texture with. I also use stamps and embossing powers. Collage papers are very import for the workshop you will want to have a selection. I get most of mine on line from as they are less expensive there and she has a great supply. I will try to bring up some collage papers but I found last year that your local art store had a great supply. Suggested

"My work is about a journey, primarily abstract. It incorporates a love for color and experimentation with mixed media. I work on canvases that are gold, copper, and silver leafed, using the leaf as a reflected light source for many intriguing acrylic glazes over each area...it's exciting and constantly changing with one's natural light source. "The work is a process of layering, with multiple design elements incorporated into the paintings such as collage and highly textured area's...It is truly a fusion of many layers of leafing, collage and acrylic glazes."
