  • Soft pencil - I use Mirado HB #2

  • Good Eraser - I use Facts Plastic

  • Watercolor paper - 140 pl. cold press, 100% rag (I use Arches)

  • Brushes - rounds #10, 8, 6, 4
    (I use Cheap Joe's Dreamcatcher flats 1", 3/4", 1/2")

  • Palette - I use a Windsor Newton Folding Palette

Ted was born and grew up in Chicago and married his beautiful wife, Shirley, in 1960.  They have three grown children.

Ted graduated from the University of Illinois in 1963 with a Masters Degree in Architecture and spend his entire career in Chicago working as an architect.

Have a very strong interest in fine arts and painting, Ted started doing watercolors in 1987.  After retiring from architecture in 1993 dedicated more time and energy to painting.  After retirement he took painting classes at the American Academy of Fine Arts and the College of DuPage in Chicago.

The Klosses moved to Prescott in 1996 and Ted joined Mountain Artists Guild and continued his painting education at Yavapai College and workshops with Raleigh Kinney and Mary Deloit Arendt.  He also painted with Kenn Backhaus.

Ted's paintings have been shown in many local galleries and several are part of private collections
