Description of workshop:
Becky wants to share her secrets to help other artists bring that something extra to their work. This workshop provides you with painting demonstrations and personal instruction to get you to the next level in your own painting!
The steps covered are as follows:
1. Idea / Concept
2. Composition
3. Drawing
4. Values
5. Color
6. Edges / Brushwork
" My goal as an instructor is to train you to "see" to understand the relationship between values, color and color temperature. Once you understand these concepts, you can build on your skills and become the individual painter that you are, not what someone else is doing. I will teach you how to get a glow to your paintings using these concepts." Becky Joy
Every workshop is uniquely different! I promise you that you will leave the workshop having learned something and energized to start your next paintings. And of course, I will teach you how I get that glow in my paintings.
Supplies:
titanium white, cad yellow lemon, cad yellow med., cad red light, aliz crimson, ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, sap green, dioxazene purple.
various bristle brushes, flat and filberts, a palette knife, smaller triangular kind
small canvases under 16x20 1 to 2 a day.
portable turp can/brush washer
paper towels
odorless solvent
