Description of workshop:
We will explore mixing color from a limited pallet of the three primary hues. This will achieve unity of color.
Day 1 and 2 you will paint from a still life set up, focusing on shape and color.
Day 3 a model will be provided to paint
Day 4 complete painting and critique of all paintings
I will demo the first three mornings

4- Canvases 16X20
#8 - #10 - #12 bristle brushes
oil paint - ultramarine blue deep, cad red light, cad yellow light, white
odorless turpentine or mineral spirits
paper towels or rags
Bio:
Dorothy Ray, a native of Arizona, is an accomplished and devoted artist dedicated to expressing her love of art. Beginning with an Associates of Art degree at Phoenix College, Dorothy has furthered her artistic training through a variety of courses at Glendale Community College, local workshops, ongoing figure sketch groups and self study. She has also traveled abroad to Italy and France to attend workshops and gather resources to include in her repertoire.
As an extension of her own value for the arts, she taught watercolor and oil painting classes for several years.
She is represented at the Windrush Gallery in Sedona and Wild Fire Gallery in Cave Creek, Az.
