Description of workshop:
Students will learn glass cutting and layering techniques. Glass embellishments such as stringers, Millifiori, preferred glass shapes and frit will be available. Each student will finish an 8" square plate and a 9" bowl. Firing schedules and slumping schedules will be discussed.
Materials List
Notebook, pencil, closed-top water bottle, closed-toes shoes, apron, magnifying glasses if needed. If student has glass cutter and breaker, please bring. Otherwise all other materials will be provided.
Brief Bio
Cindi began working with stained glass in 1995. She took her first fusing class in 2000. Cindi has been educating herself through glass classes once or twice a ears since 2005. She and her husband work with glass sculptures in their studio. Cindi also works with fine silver and fabricated sterling silver jewelry that often incorporates glass. Glass sculpture is big jewelry. Jewelry is small sculpture!
