Artists in the Spotlight

This special online edition is dedicated to those artists who were to have a show in the Spotlight Galleries, and the Featured Artist Wall in the Main Gallery, before the Guild had to close due to the Covid 19 pandemic. Also, featured are two member artists: Gary Cassidy and Lyn DeLano. Gary has donated his time and creativity to craft the beautiful copper fundraising tree at the entrance to the Guild's Galleries. Lyn DeLano, the Guild's newsletter editor since 2015, continues to donate many hours every month to the Guild's news vehicles as well as to other Guild volunteer activities. We hope you enjoy this new version of viewing artwork from your devices at your leisure! This is the new world we are living in for now! We are all adapting to this different way of communication.

The Mountain Artists Guild is to provide a place for emerging artists of all media a space to display and sell their work in a fine art gallery setting, while they are learning skills such as quality matting and framing, display and presentation of fine arts and craftsmanship, in a regularly changing show.  All member artists have the right to display for sale at least one 2D art piece and multiple 3D art pieces in the Gallery at Mountain Artists Guild.

Mountain Artists Guild features three rooms of art: The Gallery is primarily staffed by volunteers who learn how to interact with art patrons and share their enthusiasm for art. There is a new show every two months in the Main Gallery that features paintings in all media, jewelry, ceramics, wood and glass work by our guild members. The Main Gallery provides a learning opportunity for new artists on how to prepare and display art work in a professional manner. Every month the Featured Artist Wall highlights one or more artists that are established in the art world or a group of artists, such as those in the Prescott Area Artists Studio Tour or Plein Air Artists of Arizona. Spotlight Room #1 & #2 are for displaying the artwork of talented

emerging artists.
